Candle Care

Various factors can affect the burn time of candles including environment and space. Here are our tips to help you nurture your beautiful candles so that you can enjoy them for longer:

  • Trim your candle wicks each time before relighting to reduce smoking, sooting, or high flames
  • It is common for wood wicks to take some time to catch fire on initial light because of its density, and/or occasionally have a low flame (wood burns in a layered process)  - it is best to use utility or electronic lighters; on initial use, burn your candle until the wax has pooled to the edge of container
  • It is advised to burn candles for no longer than 4 hours at a time, however, refer to product label as burn time for each vessel can vary
  • Discontinue use when ½” of wax remains, and use a candle snuffer to extinguish flames in a safely and sanitarily
  • Allow your enclosed candles to cool completely before sealing them with lids

Note: Due to the high quality of our premium wax blend, S1X BORN candles take longer to burn. After your candle experience, you may find some wax left on the sides of your vessel, or some bumps in your cooled hardened wax. This is a normal finding in natural wax bases such as soy and coconut.
