Candle Care
Various factors can affect the burn time of candles including environment and space. Here are our tips to help you nurture your beautiful candles so that you can enjoy them for longer:
- Keep your candles in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area
- Light candles on a heat-resistant surface and away from drafts
- Trim your candle wicks each time before use to reduce smoking, sooting, or high flames
- It is common for wood wicks to take some time to catch fire on initial light because of its density - it is best to use utility or electronic lighters
- On initial use, burn your candle until wax has pooled to the edge of container to prevent tunneling
- It is advised to burn candles for no longer than 4 hours at a time, however, be sure to refer to product label as burn time for each vessel can vary
- Discontinue use when ½” of wax remains, and use a candle snuffer to extinguish flames safely
Note: Due to the high quality of our premium wax blend, S1X BORN candles take longer to burn. After your candle experience, you may find some wax left on the sides of your vessel, or some bumps in your cooled hardened wax. This is a normal finding in natural wax bases such as soy and coconut.
